"Observation and knowledge go
hand in hand. Observation assists us in gaining knowledge.
Knowledge assists us in the development of beliefs. Beliefs
assist us in interpreting our experiences. Experiences are
interpreted by our perceptions. Perceptions affect what we
observe."

Riding
Lessons
We specialize in starting new riders in a safe,
caring, non-competitive environment. Horses have an amazing
effect on people. They help you develop confidence, self
esteem, problem solving skills and listening skills. The
rider will know how to groom, saddle and ride. All lessons
begin with ground work. After the student understands the
basics of moving the horse forward, backward, sideways and
stop from the ground and basic horse communication, they can
begin to ride.
Lessons offer a fun and compressive opportunity which
includes physiology, safety around horses, exercise,
grooming, food and feeding, equipment knowledge, lunging,
exercises in the saddle, riding with others, indoor and
outdoor trail riding, horse psychology and behavior
management as well as stable management.

"For horses can educate through first hand,
subjective, personal experiences, unlike human tutors,
teachers, and professors can ever do. Horses can build
character, not merely urge one to improve on it. Horses
forge the mind, the character, the emotions and inner lives
of humans. People can talk to one another about all these
things and remain distanced and lonesome. In partnership
with a horse, one is seldom lacking for thought, emotion and
inspiration. One is always attended by a great companion."

Equine
Assisted Learning
We have recognized horses as a source of
entertainment and pleasure. In the wild the horse is a prey
animal and their very existence depends on their ability to
sense the underlying current or emotion of their
surroundings. As a domesticated animal, that inherent
ability is still very acute and they are instantly attuned
to any lack of congruency in those around them; couple that
with the basic curiosity and playfulness of these animals,
they become skilled at interpreting and echoing exactly what
the human body language is conveying.
What has recently become more accepted is that horses are
masterful at teaching life lessons and making core changes
in the way we approach our lives. Herd dynamics become
powerful metaphors for leadership, teamwork, non-verbal
communication, appropriate boundary setting, and
illustrating group and family function. And, for those who
are willing to quiet themselves in the presence of these
majestic animals, many have found moments of intense peace
in and otherwise hectic, often demanding, frustrating,
confusing world.
Equine Assisted Learning is an effective approach to assist
in understanding the change producing forces at play in our
lives; it is experiential in nature. This means that horses
partner with people to create a platform to identify
attitudes and behaviors that often hinder our own
empowerment . At Unbridled Faith Farm, no riding is involved
with EAL. Under the direction of our teams licensed,
professional facilitators, the horses engage participants to
live their lives with authenticity, confidence, intention,
and focus. Equine Assisted Learning is a short term
approach, that affects real and lasting change, allowing the
participant to experience the reality of making choices and
projecting attitudes.
We can only change what we allow to be brought out into the
Light!

Connections:
Using activities with horses to help people to respond to
life’s challenges rather than react. When the client
experiences a situation that reflects themselves it helps to
speed up the process of self discovery and healing of their
own personal issues. The learning becomes a deeper issue
that can be applied to all parts of life. The client or
group learns to apply thinking skills, such as non-verbal
communication, leadership, work ethics, responsibility,
creative thinking, problem solving in the activities and can
carry these skills into their personal life.
Making the Connections that lead to a healthy life become
clear and easy to apply. Cause and effect is never made
clearer than when a person is partnered with a horse. Horses
can’t lie and you can’t fool a horse. The participant will
experience many enlightening situations that will
immediately effect their life and start them on the trail to
Balance. |

"A horse is the
projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong,
powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us
escape from our mundane existence."
~ Pam Brown

Balance:
Horses provide us with unlimited metaphors of life. To be
able to ride without falling off we must find our Balance.
Balance is achieved by looking where we’re going, proper
alignment of our body, and a relaxed confidence in our
ability to ride.
Balance in life is found thru proper alignment of body, mind
and spirit. If we ignore any of the three we will ‘fall’,
and it will be impossible for us to be truly effective,
happy, free, fulfilled or at peace. Like riding a horse, if
we base our confidence in a trainer who isn’t really
qualified, has given us wrong information, and can’t produce
what he promised us, we won’t attain Balance. In order to
find Balance we must first know the Truth. We can then
‘ride’ with confidence, attain proper alignment and keep
accurate focus!
When Balance is attained, you will find your voice, and be
able to inspire others to find their voices. Voice is who
you are; who you were created to be, your natural gifts and
talents, personal ethics and convictions, your passion (what
moves you). When you Balance these, Body, Mind and Spirit,
you will find your voice, and be able to inspire others to
find theirs!

Awaken the Dream:
How long has it been since you believed you could live your
dream? When was the last time you even allowed yourself to
dream… acknowledged the possibility of doing and being
exactly what you dreamed of when you were younger and not so
disillusioned with how life is turning out?
When was the last time you jumped out of bed before the
alarm went off so you could get to work on something; or
stay up hours past your bedtime because you can’t quit
researching something.
Do you look forward to the next day of work, do more that
the boss asks because your so excited about your career?
Does your life express who you really are, fulfill your
inner self? Are you making a difference in the world; will
anyone remember what you lived for? Are you inspiring
anyone, challenging anyone to live their Dream?
Let us show you how to Awaken Your Dream!

Stable Kids Group
An equine assisted activities designed for teens 12 -
18. We are using
Steven Covey's
THE 8TH HABIT, as our outline. We will help each
teen find their "Voice", gifts, talents, natural abilities,
dreams and passions. We will use equine assisted
learning, an experiential time with a horse, much like a
ropes course, to strengthen communication, observation
skills, mental alertness, self esteem, strengthen teamwork,
teach healthy boundaries, anger management, respect for
others and self, ethics, being responsible, safety and
problem solving. It is not a mounted activity.
We will also teach them the basic psychology of the horse,
grooming, stable management and how to put the horse through
it's five basic movements.
When this 6 week class is complete they will be ready for
riding lessons! This is a short term education
that will effect them for a life time...and it lots of
fun!!! |

Fly Without Wings!
A class for school aged
children with autism. The main goal of the class is to use
the horse as a partner in the learning process. They are
given the opportunity to form a relationship with a horse
that has been hand picked for their particular needs.
Specific needs of each student are assessed and a custom
program is designed. The therapy horse has a temperament
that provides safe, non-judgmental and tolerant foundation,
which allows the student to experience learning in a whole
new fun and stimulating way. They truly can Fly Without
Wings!
In addition to riding , participant will have a light lunch
and then enjoy making a horse related art project. It’s a
time designed to allow their hearts to expand and allow them
to be the center of attention in a safe, stimulating and
nurturing environment. We encourage the family to come along
and participate! This will truly create unforgettable
memories. |

"Again the
early-morning sun was generous with its warmth. All the
sounds dear to a horseman were around me - the snort of the
horses as they cleared their throats, the gentle swish of
their tails, the tinkle of irons as we flung the saddles
over their backs - little sounds of no importance, but they
stay in the unconscious library of memory."

"My horse's
feet are as swift as rolling thunder
He carries me away from all my fears
And when the world threatens to fall asunder
His mane is there to wipe away my tears."

Long known for their capabilities to
aid in emotional healing, horses have an uncanny ability to
bridge the gap for those who are hurting and need help
bringing them to a place of healing. With an inner sense
that at times borders on the spiritual, horses promote and
enhance feelings of self worth, confidence, and empower many
to a happier and more fulfilling lifestyle.
At an Emotional Healing Clinic you
will learn how to effectively open and maintain the lines of
communication between you and your horse. You will be
exposed to principles, knowledge and techniques that are
uncommon in the horse world, but will produce amazing
results between you and your horse - all without instilling
pain or fear!
As the lines of communication become
deeper, the connection you have with your horse will grow
stronger and more powerful. In turn, you will experience
unprecedented feelings of self worth and confidence that
will affect all areas of your life.
As an added bonus your horse will
also show a calmer and more relaxed attitude becoming a more
willing attitude partner as they understand and respond
better.
Linda will be holding group sessions
with women on learning to be honest with yourself, reaching
beyond yourself to your horse, and believing in yourself and
your horse. Dan will be using techniques that will enable
each woman to form a closer bond with her horse. There will
be cowboy poetry, potlucks, singing, trail rides, and more.
This is one weekend you will not want to miss.
Linda will also be speaking about
her findings for her Ph.D. dissertation on horses and women.
There is very littler scientific information on the subject
so her research is ground breaking. This will be the first
clinic where this new information will be presented in
common every day language.
